Nowar is in charge of the social mixers. She said she wants the first one to be September 14, and I agree. We need a flyer we can hand out. It needs to be a small post card, otherwise people won't take it with them. When you hand it out in class, pass it around the whole class, or people won't take it.

Josh, I need your approval to get free appetizers even if the dean is not paying for that. Please let me know, I need to print the flyers ASAP.

I'd like to conserve money before the golf tournament, and prefer not to ask for any more favors until that's paid for. If ticket sales are good, we should have plenty of cash after October 7th, in which case I think we could do an open bar at later events.
How much would the appetizers cost? About $200?

Probably around $200. I didn't pay for appetizers last time so I'm not quite sure, but I can keep it within $200 budget. I believe it's important to offer free appetizers because it's an additional incentive for people to come and makes the mixer more prestigious. If you prefer not to do that for this mixer, however, please let me know ASAP so I can make the necessary changes to my flyer... thanks

Don't have the BEP yet, but I can see what the budget looks like. I have $180 of the club's money so if you just keep the expense less than that, I will pay cash for it.

Sounds good. I took a quick look at Hoppy menu and I think I can keep the expenses less than $180.. Thanks Josh.. Will go ahead and print the flyers tomorrow morning
